Hailo is operated by Hailo App ("the Company").
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hailo mobile application ("App") available on iOS and Android platforms.
By downloading, installing, or using the Hailo App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not use the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

All content within the Hailo App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, is the property of the Company or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may create content within the App (such as custom schedules, notes, or progress data). You retain ownership of such content. By creating it within the App, you grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service to you.
You are solely responsible for any content you create and must ensure it does not infringe any third-party rights or applicable laws.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully. It describes how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information, including special protections for children's data.
We comply with applicable data protection laws worldwide, including GDPR, COPPA, CCPA, PIPEDA, LGPD, and Australian Privacy Principles.
Hailo is designed to work offline for core learning and AAC features. However, certain features (Firebase sync, analytics, online image loading) require internet connectivity. We are not responsible for reduced functionality due to lack of internet access.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
We do not warrant that: (a) the App will function uninterrupted or error-free; (b) defects will be corrected; (c) the App is free of viruses or other harmful components; or (d) the results obtained from the use of the App will be accurate or reliable.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Jurisdiction note: Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.
You may delete your account at any time through the Parent Hub settings. Upon account deletion, we will process your data deletion request in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitation of liability provisions.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local laws in your jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms shall deprive you of protections afforded to you under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
We encourage resolution of disputes through direct communication. You may contact us at legal@gethailoapp.com before initiating formal proceedings.
Where required by applicable law, disputes may be subject to binding arbitration or the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in your jurisdiction.
Hailo is a global application. Users in different countries are subject to the laws of their jurisdiction. We make no representation that the App is appropriate or legally available for use in all locations. You are responsible for compliance with local laws.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
If you disagree with revised Terms, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.
